Penguin is an aves type aquatic animal. First discovered on the continent of Antarctica, it has been widely distributed in Australia, New Zealand, and the Galapagos Islands. Penguins are birds. But they can't fly.

1. Not Afraid of Humans

2. Live in groups.

Penguin life system is in groups or colonies. In one group / colony consists of hundreds of thousands of members. They hugged each other tightly. This is to maintain warmth in cold weather.

3. Penguins are loyal animals

Penguins are monogamous animals. This means that male and female penguins will only mate with the same partner all the time. They will also take care of the eggs and raise their young together.

Penguins have very good hearing. When on land, penguins rely heavily on hearing. Meanwhile, his eyesight can adapt well to see in the depths of the sea when looking for food or avoiding predators.

5. Can be camouflaged

The penguin's dark (black) and white (light) body color serves as camouflage against predators and prey. The dark color seems to blend with the color of the sea water when viewed from the surface, while the light color looks the same as the color of the sea water seen from the depths.

6. Penguins are carnivores

Penguins are carnivorous birds, aka meat eaters! Their diet varies, ranging from fish, krill (a type of shrimp) and squid. There are also penguin species whose main food is sardines, cuttlefish to octopus. Penguins eat up to six kilograms per day.
