Hey Lykkers, are you ready for an unforgettable tropical adventure? We sure were when we set foot on Boracay, the Philippines' crown jewel of beaches.
From its powder-soft sand to its turquoise waters, Boracay is a paradise that captures your heart the moment you arrive. Join us as we take you on a journey to explore this beautiful island!
Our first stop on Boracay was, of course, the famous White Beach. We couldn't believe our eyes as we gazed upon the stretch of pristine white sand that seemed to go on forever. This beach is known for its soft, powdery texture that feels like walking on clouds! It's perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or just lounging under the shade of a palm tree. We couldn't resist dipping into the crystal-clear water and letting the waves wash away the stresses of daily life.
White Beach is lined with cafes, and resorts, making it an ideal place to spend an entire day. If you're into water sports, there's plenty to do here, from kite surfing to paddleboarding. Activities like parasailing and jet-skiing are also available, and they provide an adrenaline-pumping experience for thrill-seekers. The beach is open all day, and there's no entrance fee, but some activities may have additional costs, ranging from 500-2,000 PHP (depending on the activity). We highly recommend visiting early in the morning or around sunset to catch the breathtaking views!
Next, we couldn't miss the Island Hopping experience that Boracay offers. We hopped on a traditional banca boat for a day of island exploration. Our guide took us to nearby islands, including Puka Beach, which is known for its secluded atmosphere and gorgeous seashells. The turquoise water around the islands was so clear, we could see colorful fish swimming beneath us as we snorkeled. We also visited Crocodile Island, a small islet perfect for snorkeling, where we got a chance to explore the underwater world. If you're into nature and love the ocean, this is an experience you absolutely can't miss.
Island hopping tours usually run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and you can book a tour for around 1,500-2,000 PHP per person, which includes the boat ride and snorkeling equipment. Make sure to bring sunscreen, swimwear, and a waterproof camera to capture the incredible sights! The whole experience lasts about 3-4 hours, giving you just enough time to relax and explore the different islands at your own pace.
Before you go, there are a few things we wish we'd known that made our time on Boracay even better. First, bring cash, as not all places accept cards, especially for activities and local vendors. Also, if you're planning to stay on the island for a few nights, book your accommodation in advance—Boracay can get quite busy during peak seasons. Whether you're staying at a beachfront resort or a budget-friendly guesthouse, you'll find options to suit your style.
Getting around Boracay is easy and fun! You can use tricycles to move between White Beach and the other areas on the island. Fares are cheap, and it's a great way to explore the island's hidden gems. The island is also known for its cleanliness, so be sure to follow the local rules, like not leaving trash on the beach, to help keep Boracay beautiful for everyone.
Whether you're lounging on White Beach, enjoying water sports, or exploring nearby islands, Boracay has a little something for everyone. Its stunning natural beauty, crystal-clear waters, and welcoming atmosphere make it an unforgettable destination. We'll cherish the memories of relaxing by the beach, indulging in delicious seafood, and making new friends along the way. Boracay isn't just an island—it's an experience, and we couldn't recommend it more to you, Lykkers.
Ready to pack your bags and experience the magic of Boracay for yourself? We hope you do, and when you do, don't forget to share your adventures with us!
