Lykkers, have you ever imagined standing atop an iconic structure, gazing at a stunning view of the city?
We recently had the chance to visit the famous Kuwait Towers, and it was an experience that took our breath away!
The Kuwait Towers are undoubtedly one of the most iconic landmarks in the country. Standing tall along the coast, these towers offer a stunning view of Kuwait City and the Arabian Gulf. The towers, which consist of three main structures, were completed in 1979 and have since become a symbol of modernity and progress in Kuwait. We were in awe as we marveled at the architectural beauty and enjoyed the panoramic views of the city's skyline.
The tallest of the three towers, the Main Tower, stands at an impressive 187 meters, and its revolving restaurant offers a unique experience with 360-degree views. This is the perfect spot to relax and soak in the breathtaking surroundings while enjoying a meal or refreshing drinks. The Water Tower, another significant part of the complex, stores water and has an observation deck that provides a great vantage point of the city.
When we visited the Kuwait Towers, we found that it was a fantastic place for both sightseeing and relaxation. The opening hours for the towers are from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily, making it a great spot to visit at any time during the day. Tickets for entry to the Main Tower and observation deck are reasonably priced at 1 KWD (around 3 USD), while the revolving restaurant requires separate reservations for dining. It's highly recommended to arrive early to avoid the crowds, especially if you want to enjoy the towers at sunset for an even more stunning view.
One of the best things about the Kuwait Towers is their location. Situated in the Shuwaikh area, the towers are easily accessible from most parts of the city, and the area surrounding them is filled with parks, cafes, and walking paths. We took a leisurely stroll around the area after visiting the towers and discovered many other attractions nearby. The Kuwait Scientific Center is just a short walk away and is a great place to explore if you're interested in learning more about the natural world. The Green Island, located not far from the towers, is another relaxing escape where we could enjoy nature and even indulge in a peaceful boat ride.
If you're looking to continue your sightseeing adventure, we recommend visiting the Grand Mosque and the Kuwait National Museum, both located nearby. These attractions offer more insights into the country's history and culture. For those looking for a unique shopping experience, The Avenues Mall, Kuwait's largest shopping center, is just a short drive away and offers everything from high-end fashion to local products.
Visiting the Kuwait Towers was an unforgettable experience, offering us stunning views and insight into the country's modern identity. We were able to appreciate both the architecture and the beauty of Kuwait City in a way that we will never forget. Lykkers, if you find yourself in Kuwait, the Kuwait Towers should definitely be on your list of must-see attractions!
