The soil here is rich in the metals iron and manganese, giving them their distinctive orange-red color in the sun. Horseshoe Bay has no other scenery to complement the bend, not even the growth of trees and vegetation. There is nothing but red desert, sand, and rock walls.

YarlungZangbu GrandCanyon

Yarlung Zangbu Grand Canyon is 504.6 kilometers long, its deepest point is 6009 meters, and its average altitude is over 3,000 meters. YarlungZangbu Grand Canyon is the first Grand Canyon in the world. Throughout the valley area, glaciers, cliffs, steep slopes, and debris flow interlace together, and the environment is very harsh.

Much of it remains unexplored, making it "the last secret place on Earth". It is also one of the few gaps in geological work. The unique natural environment is created by the moisture and heat brought by the Grand Canyon air Passage.

Colca Canyon
