Are you ready for the perfect coastal getaway?
We recently took an unforgettable trip to the Italian Riviera, and we can't wait to share our adventure with you, Lykkers!
Our first stop was the world-famous Cinque Terre National Park, a collection of five stunning villages perched along the cliffs of the Ligurian Sea. We wandered through the vibrant streets of Monterosso al Mare, hiked the scenic coastal trails, and admired the colorful houses that seemed to cascade down the hillsides. The park offers breathtaking views of the sparkling sea and rugged coastline.
Ticket Price: Access to the park and hiking trails requires a Cinque Terre Card, which costs €7.50 per day.
Next, we visited the charming Portofino, a small fishing village known for its luxury yachts and picturesque harbor. Walking along the harbor, we admired the pastel-colored buildings and relaxed at the waterfront cafés. We also hiked up to Castello Brown, a historic castle offering panoramic views of the coastline. Portofino's charm is undeniable, with its blend of natural beauty and sophisticated atmosphere.
Ticket Price: The entrance fee to Castello Brown is €5.
We then spent some time in Santa Margherita Ligure, a lovely town nestled between the mountains and the sea. We strolled along the picturesque Lungomare promenade, enjoying the fresh sea breeze and views of the colorful seafront buildings. We also explored the Villa Durazzo, a historic villa with beautiful gardens that overlooked the town and the coast.
Ticket Price: Entry to Villa Durazzo is €6.
Our final destination on the Italian Riviera was Rapallo, a town rich in history and charm. We visited the Castello di Rapallo, an ancient castle right on the sea, and wandered around the vibrant town center. The views from the castle were spectacular, and it was a great spot to reflect on our amazing trip. Rapallo's combination of history, culture, and scenic beauty made it the perfect conclusion to our journey.
Ticket Price: The entrance fee for Castello di Rapallo is €3.
