Succulents are higher plants with enlarged plant vegetative organs.

Succulents usually have three vegetative organs of roots, stems and leaves and three reproductive organs of flowers, fruits and seeds. At least one of the three vegetative organs is hypertrophic and juicy and has the function of storing a large amount of water. It has at least one succulent tissue, which is a living tissue that, among other functions, stores available water when the soil moisture condition deteriorates and plant roots can no longer absorb and supply the necessary water from the soil , it enables plants to temporarily live independently from the external water supply.

The maintenance of succulent, need to pay attention to the following points.

1. Soil use

Succulents have certain requirements for the soil. When breeding, you should not use too thick soil. You should use soil that is breathable, loose, and has good drainage. It can be cultivated with peat and granular soil, which can make the soil better breathable, and it is also very helpful for the root respiration and growth of the plant.

2. Lighting time

If you want the succulent to grow robustly, you must pay attention to the light time, at least let it receive light for 3 or 4 hours a day. Some species prefer the sun, so it is necessary to see the sun as much as possible. It should be kept on the windowsill in the house to prevent the sun from being lost.

3. Watering method

When maintaining succulents, it is necessary to master the watering method, which should be based on the principle of seeing dryness and seeing wetness. After the cultivated soil dries, it is necessary to replenish water as soon as possible, and the water should be thoroughly watered to avoid half-watering. During the growing season, it can be watered appropriately, but there should be no stagnant water.

4. Guaranteed temperature

The temperature of the breeding environment should not be too low, and should be controlled at around 12-28 °C as much as possible. The temperature in this range is more conducive to its growth. When raising, pay attention to the temperature not too high or too low, not higher than 35 ℃ in summer, not higher than 8 ℃ in winter.
