Today we bring you the Old Fashioned Brownie, a very easy dessert recipe that is also healthy, this dessert is gluten and dairy free so it won't make you fat easily and the brownie is really a very tasty dessert.

The texture of this dessert is somewhere between a cake and a biscuit, it can't be made too much like a cake or too much like a biscuit, that's the beauty of the brownie. It originated in the United States and is usually served as people's lunch and everyone serves it with ice cream and jam.

So what is this ancient brownie recipe? The ingredients are actually very simple, such as coconut oil, chocolate, eggs, coconut sugar, cocoa powder, tapioca flour, salt, and vanilla extract. The only unique ingredient is the espresso powder, which is what makes me different in making this Old Fashioned Brownie, enhancing the taste of the brownie, giving it a better aroma and a sweeter flavor.

There are two types of fat in the brownie ingredients, butter, and dark chocolate. The dark chocolate in the baking ingredients is quite different from the commercially available chocolate snacks. This dark chocolate has a very high content of cocoa butter and cocoa mass, with fewer dairy products and sugar added, which shapes its mellow bitterness with a slightly sweet taste.

The higher the cocoa butter content, the more intense the flavor and the better the mouthfeel of the chocolate. Do not use artificial chocolate containing cocoa butter, as the plastic texture will ruin the cake.

We need to replace some of the low gluten flour with cocoa powder to give the cake a darker color and a more intense cocoa flavour. In the world of desserts, chocolate and nuts have always been a perfect match. A chocolate cake on its own can be a little boring, so adding walnuts to the cake is a great way to bring out the layers of flavour. However, before adding the walnuts, bake for a few minutes to allow the aroma of the walnuts to come through.

Ingredients:

110g unsalted butter

55g cocoa powder, 2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla powder

55g all-purpose flour

55g chopped walnuts

160g fine sugar

Directions

1: Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

2: Grease and flour an 8*88-inch baking tray and set aside.

3: Melt the cream or margarine in a medium-sized saucepan (use a 1kg container)

4: Remove from the heat and add the cocoa powder, stirring well.

5: Add the sugar and stir well again.

6: Add the eggs and beat well, then add the vanilla, flour, and salt (do not overmix at this point) and mix in the nuts, then lay flat in a baking tray.

7: Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, then when the brownies are hard and crumbly, reduce the temperature to 170°C and continue baking until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake tests and does not stick.

This cake is flavored with dark chocolate and cocoa powder and has a certain bitter taste, if you reduce the amount of caster sugar added, it will result in a lack of sweetness.
